The success of last years event was down to the incredible efforts of local residents, community groups, schools and businesses. To see some of their wonderful window displays, take a look at some of last years window designs here

The Window Wanderland concept was inspired by Lucy Reeves Khan. She came up with the idea, after her career ended abruptly and an accident left her disabled. Since then, the event has inspired other communities to organise their own winter walking trails such as Ayr, Maryhill and Govan. This is not only a local event, but worldwide in countries such as Ireland, Canada and France.

The BID team are encouraging all the local Milngavie community to open their curtains and create window displays to amuse, entertain, and enthrall each other. We are looking for the local community and schools to help decorate some of the ‘donated’ business windows to create an inclusive and wonderful winter walking trail. We would like everyone to participate in the event by coming out to enjoy the work on display.

Our first workshop will be held on Jan 20th at 5pm to 7pm in Fraser Centre. All are welcome to come along and participate in the event and decorated a business window.
